THE BRIEF
Monash Business School wanted to connect its Department of Marketing with sports fans, students and industry through a podcast about the business of sport. Creator and host Brigette McGuire, a former Australian Open marketing director, brought substantial industry experience. The task was to develop that expertise into a show that would serve a clear audience and support the school’s industry engagement.
HOW WE WORKED
Miniature worked with Monash to clarify the audience, purpose and format before developing a pilot series. This gave the team a practical and risk-free way to test the concept, hear how the interviews would work, and assess the production requirements before committing to a larger programme. With James Pattison as executive producer, we helped identify contributors and story angles that would make the expert conversations accessible. The interviews examine topics such as how sponsors assess a partnership, how sporting leaders select and develop talent, and how organisations respond to expectations about inclusion and environmental responsibility.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
Monash Business School gained a published podcast series of 8 regular episodes, 2 ‘best of’ episodes, and a special episode in which Brigette sat in the guest’s chair for a profile interview to reinforce her subject matter expertise to the audience. Miniature also delivered a library of social video for Monash’s communications team, creating material they could share across university and industry channels. As of October 2026 the podcast’s social clips had reached over 100,000 people. The podcast leveraged Brigette’s extensive network, with high profile guests including sailing champion John Bertrand, Olympic gold medallist Grace Brown, tennis legend Pat Cash, and Navin Rammohan, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Field Marketing at Infosys, the official digital innovation partner of the ATP Tour.
