THE BRIEF
Sue West wanted to launch a podcast for women navigating changes in work, relationships and identity after fifty. She brought a clear purpose and experience as a coach, but wanted practical support with the unfamiliar work of planning, recording, producing and launching a programme.
HOW WE WORKED
Miniature took time to understand Sue’s audience, her wider coaching business and the kind of conversations she wanted to create. We developed the show’s structure and a launch plan around her strengths as a listener and interviewer, with production support for the trailer and first six episodes.
The support was deliberately practical and personal. James worked with Sue on equipment, remote recording, scripting, delivery and preparation, and provided a handbook she could return to between sessions. Coaching gave her a place to work through questions and develop confidence with the process, rather than having to solve each technical issue on her own.
Miniature handled editing and sound finishing for the initial production, allowing Sue to concentrate on her guests and the conversations. Early contributors included Bec Wilson, Hilary Harper, Barbara Waxman and Kari Cardinale, with discussions of retirement, relationships and life transitions. Marketing guidance helped Sue consider how the programme would sit within her wider work.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
Sue launched Flourish After Fifty with a production process she could repeat and practical guidance she could continue using. The podcast has since become an ongoing part of her coaching, group programmes and Flourish After Fifty Circle. Miniature’s contribution was the development and supported launch. Close support throughout the launch reduced the technical and organisational work Sue had to manage while establishing the programme. Sue has now released over 30 episodes of Flourish After Fifty.
